The Arthur
Flemming
center

Historic tax incentives were used to help convert three dilapidated rowhouses by Emmaus Services for the Aging who, in the spirit of the building's namesake, provide a unique approach of caring for the elderly.

The main door (lowered to the sidewalk), an interior ramp below a 3 story light shaft, and a large sliding wooden gate provide dignified access to a reception desk made of stacked lumber.  Other like-minded organizations within the Center share a serene two-story cylindrical Chapel, a Library, and Meeting Rooms.
